TRIZ is an acronym for the Russian words "теория решения изобретательских задач“ (Teoria reshenija izobretatjelskich zadacz) what means “Theory of solving inventive problems”.

TRIZ is a methodology,a tool set and a knowledge based technology for generating innovative ideas.

Compared with other creativity techniques like brain storming, which is based on random idea generation,

TRIZ is an algorithmic and systematic approach.
