1. Statement of Purpose

To enable the doctoral student to produce applied and fundamental research results, with methods, proven theories and products which are worldwide new and relevant. The person earning this Ph.D. degree will have a solid fundamental background which will allow him / her to re-invent, in a continuous manner during a professional life, his / her research domain, with scientific production of the highest quality. Domains of exercise for this Ph.D.-holder are Researcher, Professor, Technical Director, Head of Research - Development or Innovation, among others. To achieve this goal, the Doctoral Program in Engineering at EAFIT is absolutely and purposedly oriented for international cooperation and functions according with international standards.
